ICEO&SI 2018 The International Conference on Earth Observations and Societal Impacts, July 1st ~ 3rd, 2018
Call for session and Chair proposal Researchers and experts from all over the world are invited to submit proposals for the organization of Paper sessions for the presentation of original research around a specific topic, with/without discussant, via the circulation of open calls for papers. Each session will include 4-5 presentations and can be scheduled for more than one timeslot. The ICEO-SI 2018 will simultaneously address ten areas of critical importance to the sustainability of global environment and societal welfare; including Disasters, Health, Energy, Climate,Water/Ocean, Weather, Ecosystems, Agriculture,Biodiversity, Business. I. Proposals submission: Proposers should submit their abstracts by filling-in the Call for Session Form sending it to 2018@iceo-si.org.tw before March 10th, 2018. Proposals will include the name/affiliation/contacts of the proposers, the title and abstract for the session/panel/event, a description of the format, the name of the potential chair(s) and/or discussant(s) (not compulsory), other information which help the Congress organizers in the selection of proposals. Accepted languages are English and Chinese. II.Important Due Dates: (1) Abstract due: Apr. 15, 2018 (2) Accepting letter will be sent by: Apr. 30, 2018 (3) Last date for presenter to register: Jul. 1, 2018
III. Responsibilities of the sessions organizers Proposers of accepted sessions will assist the Scientific Committee in circulating the call for papers and in promoting the Congress’ activities among their personal networks and mailing lists. They will be responsible, in collaboration with the Congress’ organizers, for the selection of abstracts, the invitation of speakers, chair(s) and discussant(s), and in deciding the format of their session.
